Public method
Every answer keeps its evidence boundary.
FuelSaathi joins vehicle identity to published evidence. It records what a source establishes, what remains unresolved and what newer material would change the answer.
Vehicle matching
Make, model, generation, model year, engine, fuel type, transmission and variant remain separate whenever the evidence differs. A result for one configuration is not silently extended to another.
Evidence order
- Exact manufacturer material
An owner’s manual, brochure, technical bulletin or other publication tied to the named configuration.
- Manufacturer cohort statement
A dated statement covering a defined production period, technology or vehicle group.
- Institutional and technical evidence
Government, SIAM, ARAI or other institutional material that establishes programme or validation context.
- Secondary reference
A supporting reference used for boundaries or specifications when stronger primary material has not yet been located.
Document vocabulary
A brochure, owner’s manual, technical publication, certificate, manufacturer statement and government notification are recorded as different document types. FuelSaathi uses the word certificate only when the issuer does.
Corrections and versions
A verified correction changes the catalogue through a dated version. The prior public state remains recoverable. Content updates can reach compatible app versions without a store review, while code and schema changes remain store releases.
