What the published record says
The Ministry reports that laboratory testing, road use and manufacturer service data show no pattern of engine failure or abnormal wear from E20.
Why this is the answer
ARAI describes durability, performance and reliability testing of E20-compatible vehicles, including fuel-system and engine components.
If your car has a fault, keep the fuel receipt and the workshop's diagnosis and take both to the maker and the fuel company. A fault that appears after a fill is not by itself caused by the fill.
Important limits
- Use the fuel grade and service schedule in your car's owner's manual.
- Contaminated fuel, an older defect and ordinary part failure each need their own diagnosis.
