Keep the original receipt and, if safe, photograph the pump, outlet sign and vehicle warning lights.
Contact the oil company named on the receipt through its official customer-care channel and ask for a complaint reference.
Ask the vehicle service centre to inspect the vehicle. Timing alone cannot identify the fuel as the cause; retain any diagnostic report.
Share both reference numbers and records if the matter is escalated.
