Brazil’s regulator moved nationwide petrol to E30 in August 2025. Each country sets its own fuel specification and vehicle-compatibility rules.

In Brazil, flex-fuel cars made up 85% of the fleet by 2024 and the standard pump blend is E30. Paraguay’s national specification has set petrol at E25 since 2015. Thailand’s Energy Ministry publishes E20-compatible vehicle lists.
The United States runs E10 as its default, permits E15 for cars from model year 2001 onward, and supplies E85 with 51 to 83 percent ethanol for flex-fuel vehicles.

Fuel specifications in other countries do not establish compatibility for an Indian car. Use the owner’s manual and the manufacturer’s current guidance for the exact model year.
