A Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas release cites Maruti Suzuki service-network findings covering 2.84 crore services on E20-run vehicles since 2023, including more than 1.5 crore pre-2023 vehicles.
What the release covers
The release cites ARAI durability, performance and reliability tests over 40,000 to 60,000 kilometres, followed by service-network findings from vehicles in use.
It reports no E20-linked corrosion, abnormal wear or component-life damage across the cited services. The finding is attributed to the network and does not diagnose an individual car.
If a car develops a symptom
A service record is also a personal instrument. Keep the fuel receipt, keep the service history, and if a symptom appears, ask the manufacturer or fuel company for a written diagnosis. SIAM has stated that specification-compliant E20 will not void a warranty.
Those records give the manufacturer or fuel company the information needed to assess the reported symptom.
